A fun Spiderman movie
It has some deep themes but overall is a fun superhero movie without the high stakes that Spiderman: No Way Home had. I really liked Tom Holland's performance in this, more than the other 3 films. The music was really nice as well. If you're a Spiderman fan or like superhero movies in general, you'll definitely like this.
My first soulslike, I loved it
Been a star wars fan for years now, but never played any of the games because they're expensive as hell. Was finally gifted on for my birthday and like I mentioned, this was my first soulslike game. The game is quite generous with it's saves, and you'd lose a maximum of 5-10 minutes of gameplay in the event of death. I really like the combat and gameplay, and I like how they introduce new mechanisms and abilities slowly so that way you get used to one mechanism before being introduced to a new one. The combat is also quite forgiving with plentiful healing items(as long as you find enough of them) and 4 difficulty levels. The story is quite interesting, but I feel that a more casual star wars fan might not enjoy the story as much. I only wish the story was longer so I could have spent more time playing it.
By the way, I find it extremely blasphemous that Cere knighted Cal using AN INQUISITOR'S LIGHTSABER.
Rap album of the year
Possibly J Cole's final album and its a banger way to retire. One of J Cole's best work with some forgettable bloat but mostly has bangers start to finish. Some of J Cole's best rapping performances, and he improved his singing as well.
While disc 2 is very good, disc 1 was the standout for me. Disc 1 as a standalone is pretty much a perfect album with elite rapping, introspective cuts and melodious songs.
Disc 1 (9.8/10)
Favourite songs: Poor Thang, Legacy, Lonely at the Top
HMs: WHO TF IZ U, Safety
Miss: The Let Out (still a good song)
Disc 2 (9/10)
Favourite songs: 39 intro (my favourite song in the entire album), The Fall-Off is Inevitable
HM: Quik Stop
Miss: Life Sentence, Only You, Man Up Above (these songs are not bad but they're forgettable and pale in comparison to the rest of the album)
Even though this year is stacked with great rap album releases, The Fall Off is still the best album this year for me so far. I would even say it is a contender for rap album of the decade, and is up there with albums like The Forever Story and Let God Sort Em Out. If you love hip hop or are trying to get into it, listen to this.
Good, not great
We follow three main characters in this narrative driven video game. In my opinion, Connor has the best story with Markus being second. Kara's story didn't interest me too much especially because it didn't feel as impactful as the other two in terms of the game's storyline. Its worth mentioning that the choices you make really do make a hell of a difference which is a great experience. Overall its a good game to play once but doesn't have any replayability.
Beautiful farewell album
Love the album and how it contrasts the two sides of Sum 41. Love the single "Landmines", feels like a song released in the early 2000s. Overall, a beautiful send-off album to Sum 41 that captures the band's core.
Great album from Simple Plan, definitely follows the typical Simple Plan formula and produces memorable songs. Love "Ruin My Life" and their incorporation of Deryck Whibley for the song, though I personally wish Deryck had more lines within the song. Other songs are still really good Simple Plan songs, overall my favourite album from the band.
